These places introduce you to a set of historical, cultural, social and natural features of Tehran. Tehran, the capital of Iran, with a population of more than 13 million, has different geographical and human characteristics. The history of settlement and civilization in this area is about 6,000 years ago. The province is bordered by Mazandaran province to the north, Qom province to the south, Central province to the southwest, Alborz province to the west and Semnan province to the east.

Therefore, Tehran province has three different types of climates, which have led to differences types of nature.

-Alborz Range north of Tehran with the high-level snowcapped mountain the best place for ski lovers.
-Central parts and southern foothills of Alborz with hard winter and hot summer.
-Plains of Tehran Province with a desert and salt lake the best place for Desert lovers.

Alongside these nature specifications, some museums and palaces and historical sites can introduce the other feature of Tehran.

1. Golestan Palace (Historical )
The beating heart of Tehran
The best example of architecture remained from the Qajar era and also the changes in the Pahlavi I & II  periods that are examples of the integration of Iranian and European architecture. This complex consists of various sections and museums, including the Hall of Salam, the Mirror Hall, the Marble Tower, Khalvat Karimkhani, the Chambers, the Hall of Table House, the Brielian Hall, the Windcatcher mansion, the Diamond Hall, the Mansion of the Dormitory, the Shamsol Emareh and Abyaz Palace. Visiting this historical complex reveals an important part of Iran's history for travelers.

3. Damavand Mountain ( Nature and exciting)

Damavand Peak or the legendary Peak of Iran, which has a special place in Iranian mythological stories and especially the Ferdowsi poems the famous Iranian poet. This dormant volcano peak as the symbol of Iran is the fifth tallest peak in the world and the highest in the Middle East. Mount Damavand, which is known as the highest mountain in Iran and the Middle East, as well as the highest volcanic peak in Asia that in 2012, National Geographic magazine ranked it as the tenth of the world's dangerous mountains and peaks. The volcanic activity of the Damavand Mountains is currently restricted to the sublimation of sulfur gases. The last eruption of Mount Damavand was 38,500 years ago, from which it has been dormant since then.

14. National Garden Gate (Military, History, Political)

The National Garden is a historical and governmental compound in Tehran, Iran. Formerly referred to as the Parade Square, it used to be a military shooting range during the Qajar period. It was then turned into a public park for a short period, and eventually, important governmental offices and museums were built around it.
Building number 9 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (formerly the "Police House"), the University of Art (formerly the "Cossack House"), Malek National Museum, Post and Communication Museum, and the National Museum are situated in the compound.
